This page explains how to request deletion of your HireMUA artist account and the data associated with it.

How to request deletion

Email us from the address associated with your HireMUA account:

Email hello@hiremua.com

Use the subject line "Delete My Account," or just click the button above. We'll verify the request comes from your registered email and confirm once it's processed.

How deletion works

When we process your request:

1. Immediately: your account and all its data are hidden and made inaccessible. You can no longer access your dashboard or data, your public profile stops loading, and your active Stripe subscription (if any) is cancelled so you're not billed further.
2. For 30 days: your data is held in a hidden, recoverable state. If the request was made in error, email hello@hiremua.com within this window and we can restore your account exactly as it was.
3. After 30 days: your data is permanently erased. This step is automatic and irreversible.

What gets permanently erased

• Your artist profile and account
• Booking records, client contact details, and contracts you've created
• Client signatures and intake responses tied to your bookings
• Any portfolio content, service listings, or profile information you've added

What may be retained

Some data can't be deleted immediately, for legal, financial, or fraud-prevention reasons:

• Billing and transaction records may be retained as required by tax and accounting law, even after your account is deleted. HireMUA does not store full payment card numbers — Stripe holds that data under its own retention rules.
• Records required for an active legal, tax, or fraud investigation may be retained until that matter is resolved.

Partial deletion

We don't currently support deleting individual pieces of data (like a single booking) while keeping the rest of your account active — a deletion request removes the full account as described above. If you only want specific data removed, email us and we'll do what we reasonably can by hand.
